How does a Member Services Organization work? 
By leveraging the members’ combined purchasing power we are able to negotiate prices and other benefits that an individual
provider would not be able to obtain. As well we are able to offer a wider selection of vendors to chose from than you might  have time to locate on your own.  You can always buy what you need when you need it without worrying about maintaining volume levels to keep your discount level.

How do I become a member? 
Simply complete and return the application form either on-line or print the PDF version and Fax it to: 516-349-8875.  A welcome kit will be sent to you and Fastrack MSO will register you with our vendors so that you can begin ordering at the members discounted prices.  You will also receive log-in information to access the On-Line Purchasing
Portal.

What is the On-Line Purchasing Portal?
The web portal is a web site that allows our members to place orders electronically (EDI) with the vendors and receive back an electronic order acknowledgement, shipping/manifest notice and the invoice. The invoice can be imported directly into most Accounts Payable packages.  A copy of the vendors' catalog and price list will be available on-line.  Utilizing the Portal eliminates the time wasted faxing or calling in purchase orders.

For members using the Fastrack Enterprise System for Windows/SQL, they will be able to access the portal directly from the Purchase Order module and a copy of the acknowledgement and the invoice will be automatically inserted into a tab in the integrated document management system. As well, in the case of a drop shipment to a patient, the Fastrack system will automatically confirm the delivery. Fastrack clients will be able to import the catalog and price information into the Fastrack product database by clicking on the products they wish to carry.

What are the obligations of a member?
We would expect that you would
order as much product as possible through Fastrack MSO by utilizing your membership number when ordering. This helps insure you are getting the best prices and allows the vendor to track the volume of purchase made by the entire organization.  It is this volume of business that helps us negotiate the best prices and terms for all members.  We do expect that you will keep the members pricing confidential and alert us to any serious problems with the vendor.

Must I stop purchasing from any of  my existing vendors? 
No, we will never try to force you to stop buying from your current sources. We understand that you may have vendors you enjoy doing business with. It  will always be your choice to decide whom to buy from.

Does Fastrack MSO maintain any “special” relationships or ownership in any of the approved vendors? 
No, as this would be against our organization
's policies and philosophy.  We align with  suppliers that we feel offer quality products with good prices, terms and customer service, and agree to special considerations for our members.

What if we are a large operation already receiving substantial discounts? 
You still benefit from the Concierge service
, On-Line Purchasing Web Portal and other services/promotions we offer.  In addition, there still may be products that you only buy occasionally and therefore you will benefit from buying through Fastrack MSO.

How do we place orders?
All orders are placed directly with the vendor through the Fastrack MSO Internet web portal.  You simply provide your  membership number to obtain the appropriate discounts and terms. You will continue to have the support of their sales and customer service staff.  If this is a new vendor for you it will be necessary to establish an account with them.

How much can I expect to save?
This will depend on the type of equipment, supplies
, pharmaceuticals and service, and will vary by manufacturer and distributor.

How does Fastrack MSO differ from the typical buying groups?
Fastrack MSO is a true member oriented organization.  A provider board along with member input will drive the direction of the organization and benefits will extend far beyond purchasing benefits.

How are new vendors chosen? 
There are a number of factors including the vendors
' willingness to offer substantial discounts and other benefits to our members.  We evaluate their product line, quality, reputation, and prices.  It is our goal to have vendors that offer a wide variety of supplies, equipment, pharmaceuticals and services. We look for our members to recommend vendors and/or products that they would like to see added to our approved vendor list.

What other services can I expect? 
Fastrack MSO will offer discounts on a variety of business related services and products.  For example; We have affiliated with a company that will analyze your credit card processing fees with the goal of getting you better rates and eliminating any hidden charges.
